Born in Czestochowa, Poland in 1977, Seb Baltyn was 3 years
old when his parents fled to Austria after which they
sought asylum in Australia. Currently residing in Perth,
Western Australia, Seb graduated with a Bachelor of
Psychology in 1996. Seb started his photographic journey in
1998, and studied Design Photography at Curtin University
from 2002-2005. Seb spent 2 years living and travelling
overseas through Japan, China, Tibet and Nepal. This lead
to his first solo exhibition centred around the topic of
Tibet, held in June/July 2008, at Little Creatures,
Fremantle.
Seb is currently making a transition from still images to
the moving picture. He holds a Diploma of Screen and Media
at the Film and Television Institute, Fremantle, where he
was chosen to write and direct the graduate short film "A
Special Sweet Treat".
Seb currently works as a Director of Photography and
freelance stills photographer in and around Perth, Western
Australia.
